Logistics software development in Singapore
Collect quotation requests, track deliveries and keep delivery records with the job.
A typical workflow
- Customer submits a structured RFQ
- Accepted quote becomes a job
- Driver records proof of delivery
- Documents filed against the job
What this sector needs
RFQ forms ask for origin and destination, cargo type, weight, dimensions, number of packages, Incoterms and ready date, with extra fields for dangerous goods or temperature control where you handle them.
Proof of delivery records the recipient's name, a signature or photo, and the time and place. The driver app has to cope with weak signal at loading bays, keeping the record on the phone until it can upload.
Data read from commercial invoices, packing lists and bills of lading goes to a review screen. A staff member confirms or corrects each field before it is used in a quote, permit declaration or invoice.
Singapore Customs requires traders and their declaring agents to keep documents on the purchase, import, sale or export of goods for at least five years from permit approval. Scanned copies are accepted if they follow Customs' storage guidelines, so the system keeps each document against its job, unchanged, with an export.
Source: Singapore Customs: retaining your trade documentsCustomers see only their own shipments and documents. Drivers see the jobs assigned to them, and office staff see the full job history.
The agreement states who owns the shipment and tracking data, where it is hosted, and how it is exported if you move to another system.
Which existing tools can it connect to?
- Your current WMS, TMS or forwarding software, through its API or exports
- Accounting software such as Xero for invoicing
- WhatsApp Business for delivery updates
- Customer, driver and staff sign-in on mobile
What needs a separate scope?
Driver apps that work offline, customer tracking portals, extraction across many document types, and two-way links with a WMS or TMS need more design, testing and review.
Is a company website part of this?
It can be. The website lists your services and routes, and its RFQ form feeds jobs straight into the system. If you only need a website, our business website service is the better fit.
Can it work with our current forwarding or warehouse software?
Often, if that software has an API or regular exports. We check what it allows before quoting. Where it allows neither, the new system handles RFQs and delivery records, and staff enter the job once in the old one.
Is document extraction accurate enough to skip checking?
No. Extraction saves typing, but a staff member confirms each field before it goes into a permit declaration, invoice or customer update.
