Accounting firm website design in Singapore

Websites and client portals for accounting, bookkeeping and corporate secretarial firms: onboarding, secure uploads, filing reminders and Xero.

A typical workflow

  1. New client completes the onboarding checklist
  2. Documents uploaded by month
  3. Staff review and post to Xero
  4. Reminders go out before each deadline

What this sector needs

  • In Singapore, ACRA's Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics sets standards for public accountants and accounting entities. If your firm isn't registered with ACRA as one, check with ACRA how the code applies to you, and the website should not describe audit work you aren't registered to do.

  • Clients sign in with an email address and a password or one-time code, never with an NRIC number. PDPC has asked organisations to stop using NRIC numbers for authentication by 31 December 2026. NRIC copies collected for onboarding are stored with restricted staff access.

  • Onboarding collects what your firm's own checks require, such as director and shareholder details, identity documents and proof of address, with a checklist that shows the client and staff what is still outstanding. Your compliance lead decides the fields, and we build them.

  • Uploads are filed by client company and accounting period, not by sender, so a receipt sent by a director who runs two companies lands in the right one. Each person sees only the companies they're linked to.

  • Reminders for the annual return, ECI, Form C-S or C and GST returns are worked out from each company's financial year end and filing frequency, and staff confirm the dates before any reminder goes out.

  • If receipts and invoices are read automatically, the supplier, date, amount and tax are shown to a bookkeeper to confirm before anything is created in Xero. Unclear documents stay in a review queue.

Which existing tools can it connect to?
  • Xero, with one organisation per client
  • Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox folders
  • E-signature for engagement letters
  • Email and WhatsApp reminders
What needs a separate scope?

Reading documents into Xero, a deadline calendar for every client, e-signed engagement letters or a full onboarding workflow with identity checks are scoped once we've seen how your team works today.

Can clients keep sending receipts by WhatsApp?

Yes, if each sender's number is linked to their company, files sent to the firm's WhatsApp number can be filed into the same upload area. Staff still check anything that arrives without a clear company or period.

Do we need a portal, or is a shared Google Drive enough?

For a small client list, shared folders with a naming rule can be enough. A portal earns its place when staff spend real time chasing missing documents, or when clients must never see another company's folder by mistake.

Where are client documents stored?

In storage your firm controls, such as your own Google Drive, OneDrive or cloud account, so the documents stay with the firm if the portal changes. Access is limited by client company and staff role.
